LoL Season 2027: When It Starts, What Resets and the Last Victorious Skin of 2026
Ranked Season 3 is the last season of 2026, and Riot has not announced when it ends. Here is what is confirmed, the clues that point to early January, how the yearly ranked reset works, and what you need for the Season 3 Victorious skin before the season closes.

The Short Answer
Season 3 should end in early January 2027, and Season 2027 starts right after it. Riot has not announced either date. When the new year starts, ranks reset, so the last weeks of 2026 are for your 15 Victorious wins and your final rank.
When does Season 3 end?
Riot hasn't said. Early January 2027 is the best read: League Classic, which runs through the end of Season 3, closes on January 6, and last year's final season ended on January 7.

Yes. Win 15 ranked games this season, in Solo/Duo, Flex or both, and be at Honor 3 or higher when it ends. Riot has not revealed the champion yet.

Your 2026 Ranked Year: Three Seasons, One Left
Riot splits each ranked year into three seasons. Your rank carries through all three (in 2026, apart from one Master+ reset in six regions), and each season has its own Victorious skin for 15 wins.

Seasons end at 23:59 and start at noon the next day, in each server's local time. At the end of 2025, Master and above closed 15 minutes earlier, at 23:45.
When Does LoL Season 3 End?
Riot gives a season's exact end in the patch notes of its last patch, and it has not done that for Season 3 yet. Four things point to early January 2027.
Last year's switch was January 7 to 8
The final 2025 season ended on January 7, 2026 at 23:59:59 server time, and Season 1 of 2026 started on January 8 at 12:00 with patch 26.1.

Three patches are left: 26.22 on November 4, 26.23 on November 18 and 26.24 on December 9. Riot's schedule lists no 2027 patch yet.

The Ranked Reset: Where You Start 2027
Within a year, your rank carries from season to season: before Season 3, Riot said in the patch 26.14 notes that it did not expect any disruption to LP or ranked progression. Riot's support page says the climb resets when a new year begins
, and gives a rule of thumb for where you land.

- 5 provisional games, then a starting rank. That is how the January 2026 reset worked.Riot, Patch 26.1 notes
- Ranked queues close briefly at the switch. Solo/Duo and Flex were turned off as the 2025 season ended and back on when 2026 began.
- Shard transfers pause. Riot turned them off worldwide from January 7 while it granted the ranked rewards.
- The new Victorious count starts at once. The new season's reward missions began at the same moment as the season.
The one mid-year reset of 2026: when patch 26.9 started Season 2, Master, Grandmaster and Challenger players in NA, EUW, EUNE, BR, LAN and TR were reset to Master 0 LP. It has not detailed the January 2027 reset yet. Riot, /dev: Apex tier ranked reset
The 2026 Season 3 Victorious Skin
The champion is still a secret: Riot has not announced it, and it was not in the patch 26.22 test-server files when we checked on November 3. What you need to earn it is already known.

You need it when the season finishes. Below Honor 3, you get no rewards.

Your final tier picks the chromas
For 2025, Riot gave the chroma of your final tier plus every lower tier's. Bronze to Challenger each have one; there is no Iron chroma.

When it gets revealed: Riot revealed Victorious Braum on March 31, four weeks before Season 1 ended, and released Victorious Rengar with patch 26.14 on July 15, two weeks before Season 2 ended. If Season 3 follows that pattern, expect the reveal in late November or December; that is our estimate.
