Arena is League's round-based fighting mode. Eighteen players split into six teams of three, and every round your trio fights another trio in a small arena.
Every round starts with a shop phase to buy items and pick upgrades, then a combat phase against another team. Champions start at level 3 and level up every round.
Your team has a shared health bar. Lose a round and it drops, more in later rounds. At zero your team is out.
Teams finish in placements from #1 to #6. The last team alive wins the game.
Silver, Gold and Prismatic cards that change how your champion plays. You pick one card from each offer and build your champion around them as the game goes on.
Arena-only items with effects you will not find on Summoner's Rift, chosen from a random offer.
Spend gold on a choice of random stat upgrades when you want raw power over a new item.
A queue where champion select deals you a random hand instead of a free pick, with small bonuses for playing brave.
A tier list helps before the game. Hexgate stays with you through it: a free overlay for Windows that reads your Arena game and answers each decision on screen, so you never alt-tab to a website mid-round.
In champion select every champion you can take gets its Arena tier: the whole Bravery hand, or the best eight when you pick freely. No list to scroll, no second screen.

In game the overlay lists the next item for your champion, ranked by how often it is built in Arena and reordered against every other player in the lobby. Each item says what it answers, like healing or stacked armor, and which opponents bring it.

When the cards appear, Hexgate reads them and puts a badge under each one with how often your champion takes it. The card your champion takes most often gets a gold rim.

Your placement, kept. Every Arena game lands in your match history and on the dashboard with where your team finished, #1 to #6.
Clips of your Arena fights. Turn on Arena in Clips and Hexgate records your kills and deaths locally, ready to rewatch after the game.

On patch 26.20 the S+ picks are Renata Glasc, Ahri, Vel'Koz, Milio and Zaahen. They sit at the top of the Arena tier list above, strongest first. Any S tier champion is also an excellent pick.
Every patch. The tiers come from the current patch's Arena games, so champions move up and down as balance changes land. The date at the top of the page shows the last refresh.
Yes. Hexgate shows Arena tiers on the champions you are offered in champion select, ranks your next item against the whole lobby in game, puts a pick badge on every augment and Prismatic item offer, and keeps your placement in match history. It is free and runs on Windows.
Riot asks developers not to publish win rates for Arena augments and items. Champion strength is shown as a tier letter instead, and Hexgate only shows how often a champion takes each augment or item.
Arena is played in trios right now: six teams of three, with a Bravery queue next to the normal one. The tier list ranks champions for trios.
