DJ Sona Ultimate Remix: Forms, Cost and Release Date
Sona's 2015 Ultimate skin comes back as a Mythic Variant that moves between three of League's bands. Slide between the forms, play every ability with sound, and see what the Sanctum really costs before you buy a single Spark.
The forms, clips, music sets and description come from the patch 26.23 PBE files (checked November 6) and can still change before release. Riot has confirmed the skin and the patch. The Sanctum rules are Riot's, the odds math is ours, and anything marked as not announced is as of November 6.
The Short Answer
DJ Sona Ultimate Remix is a Mythic Variant due with patch 26.23, which Riot lists for November 18. It comes only from the Sanctum, at up to 16,000 RP, with three forms: HEARTSTEEL, True Damage and K/DA.
What is it?
A Mythic Variant of DJ Sona, and the first for an Ultimate skin, says esports.gg. In the files each form has its own model and music set, and there are no chromas.
Try the formsWhen?
Expected Wednesday, November 18, the date Riot lists for patch 26.23. Riot has not given the banner's date or hour, and the skin is on the PBE now.
Riot, November 3 Riot's patch scheduleHow much?
No store price. Under Riot's current Mythic Variant rules it is 400 RP a pull and guaranteed by pull 40, so 16,000 RP at most, about $121 at US RP prices.
See the real oddsDoes it play K/DA songs?
Not in the first PBE preview, says esports.gg: no FIRESTARTER or GIRLS in the K/DA form and no GIANTS or Know My Name in the True Damage form, though it may be early. Riot has not detailed the music.

Slide Between the Three Forms
Riot's animated splash moves through all three looks. These are real frames from it, so slide the fader the way the skin does, or pick a band.
HEARTSTEEL. A red cap, headphones and a yellow hooded jacket, on a gold deck. The music set in the files is labelled Yellow.
True Damage. A short bob, sunglasses and a white and blue jacket, on a black deck. The music set in the files is labelled Blue.
K/DA. Long silver hair, red glasses and black and crimson, on a purple neon deck. The music set in the files is labelled Pink.
Hear Every Ability in All Three Forms
The PBE files carry Riot's own preview clip for each ability, with sound. Each clip runs through the forms in turn, so you can hear all three. Press play and turn it up.
R: Crescendo
Q: Hymn of Valor
W: Aria of Perseverance
E: Song of Celerity
Passive: Power Chord
Riot's skin preview clips from the patch 26.23 PBE files. Nothing loads until you press play.
Three music sets, laid out like the original. Each has a select cue, a cue for Q, W and E, and three for R. The original's three sets, High Energy, Aggressive and Ambient, use the same layout.
Each form is a full swap. The files give every form its own model, skeleton and equip animation, plus its own attack and movement voice cues. Riot has not said how you switch: the original uses /toggle or Ctrl + 5.
The songs are still an open question. esports.gg's first look found none of the expected tracks and noted it may be an early preview. The files we read list the music cues, not the song titles, so listen to the clips above and check the 26.23 notes.
The forms change the music. The enemy team changes the build.

What It Really Costs
You cannot buy the skin outright. You buy Ancient Sparks at 400 RP each, and each Spark is one draw from the Sanctum. Under Riot's current Mythic Variant rules that is a 0.5% chance of the top prize, guaranteed by the 40th draw. Set your counter to see what is left.
- Pulls you already made
- Every 10th: an A tier reward at the latest
- Pull 40: the skin at the latest
- Pulls to the guarantee
- 40
- RP to the guarantee
- 16,000
- Chance it drops sooner
- 17.8%
Plan for the full 16,000 RP
At 0.5% a pull, about 82% of runs from zero never hit it early and go all the way to pull 40. The average run takes 36.3 pulls, or about 14,500 RP, so the guarantee is the normal case, not the unlucky one. In money, that is about $121 before tax at US prices: $120.96 buys 16,030 RP across four packs, or $121.98 buys 16,300 RP in two.

Before you buy a Spark
Check your counter first. Riot says Mythic progress carries over to the next available Mythic Variant content, and that drawing a Mythic Variant resets it to zero. If you pulled on the K/DA FIRESTARTER banners, look at your count in the Sanctum before you plan.
The other pulls pay something. Riot lists A tier rewards at 10% (skins and accessories, one by the 10th draw at the latest) and B tier at 89.5% (Mythic Essence, icons, emotes). Riot also lists 100 Mythic Essence in the top tier. It has not published this banner's pool yet.
Sparks can wait, draws cannot be undone. Riot lets you refund unused Sparks within 14 days of purchase with a Refund Token. Anything you draw stays drawn.
It is limited, but not always gone for good. Riot says Mythic Variants may return, with "never a guarantee". The League wiki lists re-runs such as Fallen God-King Garen. Riot has not said how long this banner lasts.
Remix vs the Original DJ Sona
If you want DJ Sona's music forms and not these three bands, the 2015 skin costs about a fifth of the Remix's ceiling.
| DJ Sona (2015) | Ultimate Remix (2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity | Ultimate | Mythic |
| How to get it | The store | Sanctum only, for a limited time |
| Price | 3,250 RP | Up to 16,000 RP |
| Forms | Kinetic, Concussive, Ethereal | HEARTSTEEL, True Damage, K/DA |
| Switching | /toggle or Ctrl + 5 | Not announced |
Own the original? Riot's Sanctum page does not list it as a requirement for the Remix. Sona fans are also asking Riot to fix the original's music tracks, which they say have long been bugged. Riot has not said whether it will address this.
Why These Three Bands
Music runs through this part of the year. K/DA's FIRESTARTER EP ends on GIRLS, which features DJ Sona and got its official video on November 5. Riot's Battle of the Bands event has players back K/DA, HEARTSTEEL or True Damage, the same three acts this skin moves between.
Sona's never needed words to make herself heard. Her music says it all.
Riot's 26.23 reveals also include Cafe Cuties Zoe and Neeko, both Epic with eight chromas each in the files. Follow the patch notes hub for the full 26.23 page when it lands, and see every K/DA FIRESTARTER skin for the Mythics already in the Sanctum.
