Which LoL Overlay Actually Covers Arena?
Arena hands you a champion, then augments and Prismatic items between rounds, and the timer keeps running while you read. Most League apps advertise an augment overlay. Fewer say it works in Arena, so we read each app's own pages to find out.

Short Answer: Two of These Seven Name an Arena Overlay
Hexgate and Blitz both name an in-game Arena overlay on their current product pages. For the rest, this is what their own pages say. Not stated means we could not confirm it, not that it fails.

Which champion do I lock?
On Bravery Wednesdays you choose from a small pool of Crowd Favorites or lock a hidden random pick; other days you get a pick list. FreeHexgate puts an Arena tier letter on each champion you are offered and sorts them, strongest first.
With a long pick list it narrows to your 8 strongest options plus your current pick. A hidden Bravery pick gets no letter.
Which augment do I take?
FreeHexgate reads the card titles from your screen and puts a plate on each card it can read: the share of games on your champion that picked it. The highest share on screen gets a gold rim.
Some offers also level up an augment you already hold, so one screen can mix new cards with an upgrade.

Which Prismatic item fits this build?
A Prismatic offer shows items from Arena's top tier, and many of them exist only in this mode.
FreeHexgate treats these cards like augments: the same plate and the same gold rim, with the share for your champion.
Which stat shard do I take?
A Stat Anvil trades gold for raw stats. Hexgate stays quiet on this screen: shards are not in its card data, so there is no plate.

FreeHold Tab and the overlay lists your next item, ranked by how often it is built in Arena. From your third item it also reorders the list against every other player in the lobby, and an item that answers something says so, like healing or stacked armor, with the players who bring it.

Hexgate: Champion, Cards and Items in One Overlay
Hexgate stays with you through the whole Arena game: champion select, augment and Prismatic offers, and the shop. It is free for 3 games a day, and every Arena feature except Clips is in the free plan.
In Arena
- FreeChampion select: an Arena tier letter on each champion you are offered, sorted strongest first.

How it reads the cards: Riot's live game data does not include the offer, so Hexgate reads the card titles from your screen, on your own PC. No injection, no memory reading. A card it cannot read shows no plate.
The same app outside Arena

The tradeoffs in Arena
- The plate shows popularity, not a win rate. Here is why.
- No plate on Stat Anvil shards.
- Riot's live data does not show who is on your team in Arena, so item ranking reads the whole lobby, your own trio included, not only the team you fight next.
- No trio or duo synergy suggestions.
- Match Breakdown covers ranked, Draft and Swiftplay games and Lane Scouting covers ranked and Swiftplay, so neither runs in Arena.
- Windows only, and League has to run in Borderless or Windowed. Clips needs Borderless.
Blitz: An Arena Overlay on Its Overlay Page
Blitz's overlay page lists an Arena Augments Overlay with "Arena Augment stats as you pick them", and its Arena champion pages promote the same overlay with the augment tier list and builds in game. It sits inside the wider Blitz app, which has many League overlays and covers several other games. Blitz is free with ads, and a paid plan removes them.
If you already run Blitz, turn this overlay on before you install anything else.
What the Other Five Say About Arena
Mobalytics Named in an older guide
Its Arena guide, last updated October 31, 2025, says the app pops up recommendations for which augment, item or Prismatic to take. Its Arena build pages have a one-click import. The guide describes the older 8-team format, and the app download page does not mention Arena, so try it in one game before you count on it. Free, runs on Overwolf.
OP.GG Desktop Augments, no mode named
Its feature page lists an Augment Tier overlay that shows the tier of augments for your current champion. Neither that page nor its patch note headlines mention Arena, so it may cover the mode, but we could not confirm it. OP.GG does publish an Arena tier list on its site. Its help center says the macOS version has no overlay.
U.GG Augments, no mode named
Its app page lists In-Game Augment Tiers as a new feature, without saying which game modes it covers. U.GG does publish Arena build pages on its site, so check the overlay in one game if you already use the app.
Porofessor No mention of Arena
Neither porofessor.gg nor its Overwolf page mentions Arena or augments. Overwolf's Arena list includes it, but we found no Arena feature described anywhere.
ARAMKit No mention of Arena
Its site and desktop companion are built for ARAM Mayhem. If you play Mayhem as well, our ARAM Mayhem overlay comparison covers it.
Why Hexgate's Arena Overlay Shows Pick Rates, Not Win Rates
Riot asks developers not to publish win rates for Arena augments and Arena items, in any app or on any site. That is why Hexgate's Arena plate shows the share of games on your champion that picked a card, and never how often it wins. Here is how to use it:
- Gold rim: the highest share among the cards on screen. A tie marks none.
- A high share: popular on your champion, and a reasonable start when you have no plan for this build yet.
- Under 1%: the card rarely ends up on your champion. That can simply mean it is rarely offered, so read it as rare, not bad.
Popular is not the same as strong, so when your build and the plate disagree, trust your build. For champion strength, the Arena tier list uses letters from S+ to D, refreshed about a week into each patch.

Arena Overlay FAQ
What is the best LoL Arena overlay?
For most players, Hexgate. It covers the whole game: tier letters on the champions you are offered, a pick share on augment and Prismatic item cards, and your next item reordered against the lobby from item 3, free for 3 games a day with no ads and no Overwolf. If you already run Blitz, its Arena Augments Overlay means you may not need a second app.
Is there an overlay for Arena augments?
Yes. Hexgate and Blitz both state that they show augment information in game in Arena. Mobalytics says so in an older guide. OP.GG Desktop and U.GG list an in-game augment overlay but do not say which game modes it covers.
Does Porofessor work in Arena?
Porofessor's own pages do not mention Arena or augments as of November 6, 2026. Overwolf lists it under League of Legends: Arena, but we found no Arena feature described.
Why does Hexgate show pick rates instead of win rates in Arena?
Riot asks developers not to publish win rates for Arena augments and Arena items. Hexgate shows the share of games on your champion that picked each card instead, and pick rates on its item suggestions.
Is Hexgate free in Arena?
Yes, for 3 games a day. Champion tiers, card plates, item ranking and the skill order are all in the free plan. Pro removes the daily limit, and Pro+ adds Clips of your Arena games.
Does Hexgate work on Bravery days?
Yes. On Bravery Wednesdays every Crowd Favorite you are offered gets a tier letter in champion select. A hidden Bravery pick gets no letter, but the overlay and card plates work as usual once the game starts.
Why is my overlay not showing in Arena?
Hexgate cannot draw over League's Fullscreen mode. Switch to Borderless or Windowed in game under Esc, Video, Window Mode. A free account that has used its 3 games for the day also gets no overlay until the next day.
Can I get banned for using an Arena overlay?
Hexgate reads the card titles from your screen and uses Riot's live game data. It does not inject anything into the game or read its memory. Our guide to whether you can get banned for LoL apps covers what Riot allows and what it punishes.
