ARAM Mayhem launched in patch 25.21 (October 22, 2025), and Riot has since made it a mode that stays "until further notice." It is now one of the most played ways to play League, and it has one decision that no amount of game knowledge fully covers: which of three augments to take, with a reroll on each card and a pool of hundreds of options that are rated differently for every champion.
That is a job for an overlay. Below are the four apps that rate augment cards in game, as of October 2, 2026, plus where the web tier lists fit in. Disclosure: we build Hexgate, the first entry. If you want the augment strategy itself (what to pick and why), our ARAM Mayhem augments guide covers it, and the ARAM Mayhem builds for every champion list the best augments per champion.
How Mayhem Augment Picks Work
- When: your first augment at the start of the game, then more at levels 7, 11 and 15.
- The offer: three cards per screen. Each card can be rerolled once, so you can see up to six options.
- Tiers: each screen is Silver, Gold or Prismatic, chosen at random, and every player gets the same tier on that screen. The Golden Reroll from the free Mayhem progression track turns an offer into one a tier higher.
- Ability and Quest augments: added in patch 26.12. Some rework one of your abilities, others upgrade after you finish a quest.
- No runes: runes are disabled in Mayhem, so augments and items are your whole build.
The hard part is that augment value depends on the champion. An on-hit augment is a top pick on an attack-speed champion and nearly blank on a poke mage. A generic "best augments" list cannot tell you that; a per-champion rating can.
1. Hexgate: A Tier Badge Under Every Card
When the three cards appear, Hexgate reads them and pins an S, A, B, C or D badge under each one, ranked for the champion you are playing, not a global average. Reroll a card and its badge updates; pick one and the badges get out of your way.
- How it reads the cards: Riot's APIs do not expose the augment offer, so Hexgate reads the cards from your screen on your own machine with Windows' built-in text recognition. No injection, no memory reading.
- Champion select: in Mayhem it also shows the Mayhem champion tiers for the champions you are offered and everything on the bench, so you can make the swap decision with data.
- Items: the usual Hexgate overlay still re-ranks your items against the enemy team, which matters in Mayhem as much as anywhere.
- Screens: 1080p to 4K, ultrawide included.
- Platform and price: native Windows app, no Overwolf, no ads. Free for 3 games per day; Pro is 4.99 EUR/month for unlimited games.
2. Blitz: Tier List on the Pick Screen
Blitz advertises a "hand-crafted ARAM Mayhem Augments Tier List right in your game as you pick," and has a similar overlay for Arena. It comes with the rest of the Blitz app (rune and item import, many overlays, several games). Free with ads; Premium removes them.
Known issues in 2026: in June, a Blitz developer explained on r/BlitzApp that ability augments are matched by name, so their tiers can go missing when your game language and app language differ. In July, augment info vanished in ARAM, Mayhem and Arena after a Vanguard update; Blitz said it was fixed the same day. If "Blitz ARAM Mayhem overlay not working" is how you got here, update the app and make sure both languages match.
3. OP.GG Desktop: Augment Tier Overlay
OP.GG Desktop lists "augment tier recommendations for current champions" among its in-game overlays. It is a free, ad-supported Electron app that also imports runes and items in other modes, and its December 2025 update fixed Summoner's Rift builds and spells being applied in Mayhem by mistake.
4. ARAMKit: Free and Open Source
ARAMKit is a free, open-source Windows app focused on ARAM. Its overlay shows champion-specific augment win rates and tiers during selection, reading the screen with image recognition, and it adds build auto-import, auto-accept and party detection. It comes as an installer or a portable version. If you only play ARAM and like open-source tools, it is worth a look.
What About Porofessor, Mobalytics and the Tier List Sites?
We found no in-game Mayhem augment overlay in Porofessor or Mobalytics as of October 2026. Mobalytics and Metasrc publish Mayhem augment tier lists on their websites, and arammayhem.com is a web-only fan resource. These are fine for study between games, but they share the problem every tier list website has in Mayhem: nobody alt-tabs to a website while the pick timer runs. Mobalytics also notes that its Mayhem augment data is rating-based, because Riot provides no Mayhem augment data through its API.
Side by Side
| App | Shows on the cards | Per champion | Platform | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hexgate | S to D badge under each card, updates on reroll | Yes | Native Windows, no Overwolf | Free 3 games/day, no ads |
| Blitz | Tier list as you pick | Hand-crafted tiers | Electron | Free with ads |
| OP.GG Desktop | Augment tier overlay | For your champion | Electron | Free with ads |
| ARAMKit | Win rates and tiers during selection | Yes | Windows, open source | Free |
| Mobalytics, Metasrc | No, website only | Varies | Web | Free |
Which One Should You Use?
- You play Mayhem and ranked or normals: Hexgate, because the same app handles your items in every mode and your augments in Mayhem, without Overwolf or ads.
- You already use Blitz or OP.GG for everything: turn on their Mayhem overlay; there is no need for a second app.
- You only play ARAM and want open source: ARAMKit.
Whichever you pick, run only one augment overlay at a time. Two apps drawing on the same three cards is clutter you do not need with a timer running.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an overlay for ARAM Mayhem augments?
Yes. Hexgate, Blitz, OP.GG Desktop and ARAMKit all show augment ratings in game while you choose. Hexgate pins an S to D tier badge under each of the three cards, ranked for the champion you are playing, and updates it when you reroll.
Does Porofessor have an ARAM Mayhem overlay?
We found no in-game Mayhem augment overlay in Porofessor or Mobalytics as of October 2026. Mobalytics and Metasrc publish Mayhem augment tier lists on their websites, which you would have to check outside the game.
Why is my Blitz ARAM Mayhem overlay not working?
Blitz users reported two known causes in 2026. In June, a Blitz developer explained that ability augments are matched by name, so tiers can go missing when your game language differs from the app language. In July, augment info disappeared for ARAM, Mayhem and Arena after a Vanguard update, which Blitz said it fixed the same day. Updating the app and matching the languages are the first things to try.
How do ARAM Mayhem augment picks work?
You pick your first augment at the start of the game and more at levels 7, 11 and 15, each time from three cards. Each card can be rerolled once. The tier of each screen (Silver, Gold or Prismatic) is random and the same for every player. Runes are disabled in Mayhem.
Is a Mayhem augment overlay allowed by Riot?
The overlays here read the cards from your screen or from data the client shows you; they do not reveal hidden information or pick for you. Riot's APIs do not expose the augment offer, which is why screen reading is the common approach. Our guide on whether you can get banned for LoL apps covers the rules.
