A human coach does three jobs: helps you draft, talks you through the game, and reviews it afterwards. AI tools have split those jobs up, and most of them only do one. That matters, because the job that improves you fastest is the review. In-game advice helps the game you are in, while a review that finds the mistake you keep making helps every game after it.

Below are six tools that are active in October 2026, sorted by job. Details about other tools come from their own websites. Disclosure: we build Hexgate, whose Pro+ tier is the first entry.

Post-Game Coaches: Why You Won or Lost

1. Hexgate Pro+: Match Breakdown, Habits and Lane Scouting

After every ranked Solo/Duo, Flex and Normal Draft game, Hexgate Pro+ reads the game's own timeline and writes a Match Breakdown: why you won or lost, what hurt and what helped, each backed by evidence. That evidence is deaths and who was involved, fights your team took without you, objectives lost while you were dead, farming, vision and how you spent your gold. It is judged for your role and your champion's class, so a tank's deaths are read differently from a carry's. A death that pulled enemies away so your team could take an objective is credited, not blamed.

  • One focus, one tip: each breakdown picks the single thing that mattered most and gives you one concrete tip for the next game.
  • Habits: a mistake that shows up in 3 of your last 10 games in a role is flagged as a habit, and marked fixed once it stops appearing.
  • Rank benchmarks: your numbers compared with players of the same rank in the same role, so "my CS was low" becomes "your CS at 10 is below the average for your rank."
  • The rest of the picture: kills and deaths on the team gold curve, your early game against your lane opponent, every fight and objective, the full scoreboard.
  • Before the game too: Lane Scouting shows on the loading screen what your lane opponent and the enemy jungler tend to do early, counted from their own recent ranked games.

Price: Pro+ is 9.99 EUR/month or 7.49 EUR/month billed annually, and includes everything in Pro (unlimited games, the adaptive item overlay, matchup runes). Free and Pro players still get a match history with the real stats of every game; the verdict and coaching are what Pro+ unlocks. Windows only.

2. Coachless: Win Probability Review

Coachless is a web tool that reviews your Solo/Duo, Flex and Normal Draft games on a win probability graph and marks the biggest mistakes. It is a clear way to see which moments swung a game. The review is part of its Premium plan, and the free website shows ads.

3. Mobalytics: GPI Performance Scores

Mobalytics' Gamer Performance Index scores your play in eight areas: Aggression, Consistency, Farming, Fighting, Survivability, Teamplay, Versatility and Vision. It is the best-known long-term view in League, good for spotting a weak area over dozens of games, though it tells you less about why one specific game went wrong. It runs on Overwolf, free with ads, with a Plus subscription.

4. RiftCoach: Pattern Analysis

RiftCoach is a Windows desktop app that says it captures live data and analyzes patterns after the game. Its site is light on detail about the model behind it, so try the free tier before paying; Pro is listed at $5/month or $50/year.

Live Coaches: Advice During the Game

5. Scoutr: Minimap Reading and Voice

Scoutr reads your minimap six times a second, warns you about ganks and coaches you by voice, with help in champion select too. The analysis runs in Scoutr's cloud. Free for 3 coached games a month, with paid plans from 4.99 EUR (Scout) and 8.99 EUR (Coach, 30 games). Live coaching suits players who want reminders while they play, but it is a different thing from a review that explains your mistakes afterwards.

Draft Coaches: Winning Champion Select

6. iTero: AI Draft Coach

iTero suggests picks, runes and items during champion select, adds macro insights from your account statistics, and has a post-game review and lobby scouting. It is available on Overwolf and as a standalone download, free with ads, with a paid ad-free tier.

Tools That Are Gone

If you are looking for Meeko: its website says it has shut down for the time being and that subscriptions will be refunded. Older "AI coach" lists still recommend it.

Why the Post-Game Review Matters Most

Most players who stop climbing are not losing to a lack of information during the game. They are repeating the same two or three mistakes: dying before objectives, fighting while a lane opponent roams, falling behind on farm in the same phase of the game. You cannot see a pattern from inside a game, and you rarely remember it afterwards. A review that reads the timeline, names the mistake and counts how often it happens is what turns "I lost" into "I keep dying on the side lane right before Dragon."

That is why the breakdown works the way it does: one focus per game, not twenty notes, plus a habit list that only shows what repeats. If you want to see what a breakdown looks like before deciding, our Match Breakdown article walks through every part of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an AI that can coach me in League of Legends?

Yes, several. Hexgate Pro+ analyzes each finished ranked or Normal Draft game and explains why you won or lost with evidence from the game's timeline, then gives one tip for the next game and tracks mistakes you repeat. Scoutr coaches live by reading the minimap, iTero helps with the draft, and Mobalytics scores your play across eight areas.

What is the best free LoL AI coach?

Mobalytics' GPI scores are free, Scoutr includes 3 coached games a month for free, and iTero's draft coach has a free ad-supported tier. Hexgate's free and Pro tiers show the real stats of every game in its match history; the coaching verdict and tips are part of Pro+.

How do I find out why I lost a League game?

Look at what happened in the order it happened: deaths and who caused them, fights your team took without you, objectives lost while you were dead, and gold falling behind. A post-game breakdown such as Hexgate's Match Breakdown does this from the game's own timeline and picks the one thing that cost the most.

Do AI coaches watch your replays?

Most do not analyze video. Hexgate, Coachless and Mobalytics work from the game's data (the timeline of kills, gold, objectives and positions). Scoutr reads the minimap live during the game instead.

What happened to Meeko?

Meeko's website says it has shut down for the time being and that subscriptions will be refunded.
