Blitz is the standalone answer to "one app for everything". Automatic rune and build import, jungle timers, ultimate tracking, teammate summoner spell timers, post-game analysis, performance tracking, and a loading screen overlay that shows each player's rank, win rate, recent performance, and most played champions. That last part matters for this article: it is the closest thing to Porofessor's scouting you can get without installing Overwolf.

OP.GG is the reference stats site for the entire player base, and its desktop app is a standalone Electron application that brings that data into the client: automatic rune and build import in champ select, a Shift+Tab in-game overlay with builds, opponent data, and spell timers, plus TFT and Valorant support. It is free, familiar, and runs on Windows and macOS.

If you already live in OP.GG's profile pages, this is the least disruptive no-Overwolf pick. The rune import alone saves the fumbling minute before lock-in, and the opponent data in the overlay is useful even if it is shallower than a dedicated scouting tool.

U.GG's app does one thing with no ceremony: it detects your champion in select and imports the highest win rate runes and item sets. No Overwolf, no subscription, fully free, on Windows and macOS. For a player whose entire requirement is "give me the meta build without alt-tabbing", it is the least friction of anything here.

The tradeoffs: it is not an in-game overlay in any meaningful sense. There is no live overlay reading your game state; once the loading screen ends, U.GG's job is done.
