Jayce, the Defender of Tomorrow, is a melee fighter and marksman champion. In fights Jayce is a fragile champion who deals physical damage from long range poke. Here are the augments Jayce players take most, the Prismatic items worth grabbing and the core build on patch 26.20.
Your Abilities can Critically Strike. Gain Crit Chance.
Your Shock Blast (Q) and To the Skies! (Q) deal physical damage that can now critically strike, so your poke and hammer engage can burst targets much harder.
Hitting an enemy with a non-Ultimate Ability at far range drastically reduces its Cooldown.
Landing Shock Blast (Q) from far away, especially after boosting its range through Acceleration Gate (E), sharply cuts its cooldown so you can poke far more often.
When you damage a champion from far away, fire a Trueshot Barrage at them.
Landing a long-range Shock Blast (Q) on a champion fires a Trueshot Barrage at them, adding extra poke damage without you needing to step closer.
In game, Hexgate puts a badge under every augment card you are offered, with how often Jayce players take it.
