Bard, the Wandering Caretaker, is a ranged support and mage champion. In fights Bard is a fragile champion who deals magic damage while supporting the team, with healing in the kit. Here are the augments Bard players take most, the Prismatic items worth grabbing and the core build on patch 26.20.
Requirement: Heal or prevent 2,500 damage to allies. Reward: Gain 100% Attack Speed, and your Attacks deal additional magic damage equal to 450% Heal/Shield Power.
Caretaker's Shrine (W) heals allies toward the quest, then your attacks gain attack speed and magic damage on top of the meeps from Traveler's Call (passive).
Your Attacks deal additional physical damage equal to 75% Ability Power.
Your AP already powers the meeps from Traveler's Call (passive), so Marksmage gives each of your attacks extra damage from the same stat.
Gain 20% Heal and Shield Power.
Heal and Shield Power increases the healing from Caretaker's Shrine (W), so each shrine your allies pick up restores more Health during fights.
