The Short Version

  • Top: Mordekaiser (S, 49.5% WR, 4.9% pick rate) is the safest blind-pick top with a wide-meta build path.
  • Jungle: Master Yi (S, 50.5% WR) and post-buff Wukong (51.2% WR) lead a wide jungle pool. Shyvana drops a tier after the W shield nerf.
  • Mid: Galio jumps tiers post-buff with full 100% AP scaling on E and an MR-scaling ult. Malzahar and Viktor stay reliable.
  • ADC: Jhin (51.2% WR) and Jinx (50.7% WR) are the highest-leverage picks. Zeri is real now after the base damage and AS conversion buffs.
  • Support: Morgana (S tier, 49.3% WR), Milio, Nami, and Leona all hold. Taric remains a sleeper.
  • Patch 26.10 in one line: Outliers nerfed, Galio and Wukong and Zeri buffed, Lee Sin reworked for fluidity, minion aggro change makes lane trades cleaner.

Patch 26.10 Meta Shifts

Patch 26.10 went live on May 13, 2026. It is a tuning patch, not a new-season patch, so the changes are surgical rather than sweeping. The headline items are a Lee Sin modernization, a Galio numbers buff that actually matters, the minion aggro system change, and a wave of nerfs aimed at the top of the Patch 26.9 tier list (Shyvana, Naafiri, Zed, Ashe, Smolder, Anivia, Ambessa).

The biggest moves in one screen:

  • Nerfs: Shyvana (W shield from 75-155 down to 60-140, HP/level from 100 to 95), Naafiri (Q and R damage cut), Zed (passive max HP damage from 6-10% to 5-10%, E AD ratio from 80% to 70%), Ashe (Q total damage from 110-140% AD to 110-130%), Anivia (base and growth armor), Smolder (Q damage and W bonus AD scaling), Ambessa (Q monster damage and R monster healing).
  • Buffs: Galio (Q mana cost down, E damage and ratio up to 100% AP, R now scales with 100% bonus magic resist), Wukong (W clone damage 30-50% to 40-60%, W duration 3.25s to 4s, E AS 35-55% to 40-60%), Zeri (Q base 21-33 to 22-38, excess AS-to-AD conversion 50% to 60%), Lee Sin (W cooldown 12-6 to a flat 7 seconds, ult body continues flying if target dies), Quinn jungle (passive +50 bonus monster damage, Q deals 50% more to monsters, R mana cost halved).
  • Item changes: Lich Bane Spellblade AP ratio 40% to 45% and movespeed 4% to 6%, Voltaic Cyclosword cost up 100g to 3000g, Gluttonous Greaves cost up 50g to 1000g (omnivamp restructured to 0.6% per takedown stacking to 10), Doran's Bow AD 6 to 8, Doran's Helm HP 110 to 140.
  • Rune changes: Deathfire Touch damage per second 4-12 to 3-12 by level (small early shave). Stormraider's Surge movespeed bumped to 48% melee / 36% ranged for 4 seconds (up from 40/30% for 3 seconds), a real buff that matters for sticking power.
  • System change: Enemy champions attacking minions no longer enter the minion aggro priority list. Minions keep attacking the closest enemy minion unless a champion directly attacks an allied champion. This kills several wave-manipulation tricks.

The tier list this patch is wider, not taller. Shaving the top of the meta means more champions cluster around 50-51% Emerald+ win rate, which makes comfort and matchup knowledge the actual differentiator. There is no Patch 26.9-style Karthus jungle at 55%+ to free-LP off of, so pick your role's most reliable winner and outplay rather than outpick.

Top Picks Across All Roles

The strongest champions in Patch 26.10 across any role, sorted by reliability (win rate plus sample size plus meta fit). All numbers are Emerald+ Patch 26.10 data.

Role Champion Tier Win Rate Why
ADC Jhin S 51.2% 4th-shot snowballs untouched, no nerfs
Jungle Wukong S 51.2% Real buff: longer clone, more clone damage, more E AS
ADC Jinx S 50.7% Untouched, indirect winner from Ashe nerf
Jungle Master Yi S 50.5% Naafiri and Shyvana nerfs widened his lane
Mid Galio S ~50.0% Full 100% AP scaling on E, MR-scaling ult

Two things to notice. First, the win rate gap between S and A tier is tiny this patch. Nobody is at 53%+ in a real role. Second, the buff winners (Wukong, Galio, Zeri) are the picks with upward momentum, while the untouched dominants (Jhin, Jinx) inherited their position from the nerf list rather than from getting stronger themselves.

Best Top Laners

Top lane is the widest meta in Patch 26.10. Shyvana lost her best item slot of the patch (the W shield shave is real), Naafiri got hit, and nobody new emerged as a runaway pick. That leaves a pool of reliable, comfort-based winners.

Mordekaiser

Mordekaiser

49.5% WR A Tier
4.9% pick rate · safest blind-pick top in 26.10

Why He Climbs This Patch

Mordekaiser is not the highest-WR top, but he is the highest-leverage one. His kit does not care about the minion aggro change (he ults out of waves anyway), his Conqueror build path is unaffected by the Voltaic Cyclosword nerf, and his Liandry's-Riftmaker core punishes the wide meta of tanks and bruisers that came back into top lane after the Shyvana nerf.

Core Build

Core: Rylai's Crystal Scepter Plated Steelcaps Riftmaker Liandry's Torment Thornmail

Runes

Conqueror, Triumph, Legend: Haste, Last Stand. Secondary Resolve: Bone Plating, Revitalize. Stat shards: Adaptive Force, Adaptive Force, HP scaling.

Play tip: Ult the enemy carry into your team, not their tank. Mordekaiser's ult is a 1v1 spell, not a peel tool. With Rylai's first, your Q hits even harder inside the death realm because the slow keeps them in your Liandry's burn radius the entire duration.

Garen

Garen

~51% WR S Tier (low elo)
Free LP below Diamond, A tier in Emerald+

Why He Climbs This Patch

Garen is the cleanest top-lane climb pick for Emerald and below. The Voltaic Cyclosword price hike hurts lethality top laners (Quinn, Camille builds), which means more bruisers and tanks queue into Garen, and his Conqueror plus Trinity Force path beats every one of those matchups by item three. He does not care about the minion aggro change. He does not need wave-state outplays.

Core Build

Core: Trinity Force Plated Steelcaps Death's Dance Ravenous Hydra Black Cleaver

Runes

Conqueror, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Last Stand. Secondary Resolve: Conditioning, Overgrowth.

Play tip: Take Teleport, not Ignite. Garen kills you in lane regardless of summoners, and Teleport is the difference between a 51% solo-queue Garen and a 53% one because of how much side-lane pressure he generates after item two.

Darius

Darius

~50% WR S Tier
All-in king, indirect winner from Ashe nerf in bot

Why He Climbs This Patch

Darius is the strongest level-1-through-6 top laner in 26.10. The Shyvana shield nerf is huge for him specifically. Shyvana was one of the few top laners who could trade through Darius's stacks because of her W shield, and that shield went from 155 max to 140 max while her HP per level dropped from 100 to 95. The matchup is now decisively Darius-favored.

Core Build

Core: Goredrinker Plated Steelcaps Sterak's Gage Black Cleaver Spirit Visage

Runes

Conqueror, Triumph, Legend: Tenacity, Last Stand. Secondary Resolve: Second Wind, Unflinching. Tenacity stacks because the minion aggro change makes lane trades cleaner, and Darius wins clean trades hardest.

Play tip: First back at 900-1100 gold every game. Phage plus boots beats any other first-back combination for Darius's lane pressure pattern in 26.10.

Best Junglers

Jungle is the most reshuffled role in 26.10. Shyvana lost her S+ tier slot to the W shield nerf, Ambessa's monster damage on Q dropped from 125 to 75, and Naafiri got hit across her kit. The slack went to Wukong (real buff), Master Yi (lane widened), and the post-rework Lee Sin who is climbing as players relearn his W timings.

Wukong

Wukong

51.2% WR S Tier
4.7% pick rate · biggest direct buff of the patch

Why He Climbs This Patch

Wukong was sitting at 49.4% WR on 26.9 with a clean kit and no real weaknesses, just no buffs. 26.10 gave him three at once: W clone damage from 30-50% to 40-60%, W duration from 3.25s to 4s, and E attack speed from 35-55% to 40-60%. That compounds, and his Stormraider's-empowered ult engage now stays sticky for the full 4 seconds. Two-item Wukong feels like three-item Wukong did last patch.

Core Build

Core: Black Cleaver Mercury's Treads Titanic Hydra Sterak's Gage Dead Man's Plate

Runes

Stormraider's Surge keystone (post-buff: 48% melee MS for 4 seconds), Sudden Impact, Treasure Hunter, Ultimate Hunter. Secondary Resolve: Bone Plating, Revitalize. The Stormraider's buff is specifically designed for engage champions like Wukong who need to commit to a target.

Play tip: Smite-clear the first three camps, gank top or mid at level 4 with the new longer W clone. The 0.75-second duration bump matters because it means your clone is still alive when you hit your E follow-up auto.

Master Yi

Master Yi

50.5% WR S Tier
Naafiri and Shyvana nerfs cleared his lane competition

Why He Climbs This Patch

Master Yi did not get buffed. He just survived. Naafiri jungle's Q minimum bonus dropped from 30-90 to 30-80, Shyvana lost her W shield, and Ambessa's monster damage was halved. Three of the four junglers who used to share Master Yi's tempo niche got worse simultaneously. He climbs by default.

Core Build

Core: Blade of the Ruined King Berserker's Greaves Wit's End Infinity Edge Bloodthirster

Runes

Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grace. Secondary Resolve: Second Wind, Revitalize.

Play tip: Skip the dragon ban list, ban Lillia or Zac instead. Both of those punish Yi's clear speed harder than any tank jungler does in 26.10.

Lee Sin

Lee Sin (Post-Rework)

Climbing A Tier (rising)
Brand new W cooldown, ult body keeps flying on kill

Why He Climbs This Patch

Lee Sin's W cooldown went from 12-6 seconds to a flat 7 seconds at all ranks, and he now gets the shield on minion or ward jumps too. That means ward-hopping in skirmishes is back to feeling fluid the way it did in Season 5. The ult change (the body keeps flying and doing the knock-up even if the target dies mid-flight) prevents the "you kicked them, they died, your team got nothing" feel-bad pattern. Riot offset the buffs with W shield nerf (70-250 to 60-240) and E AD ratio (100% to 90%), so the net power is roughly flat. Mechanically he is significantly better.

Core Build

Core: Serpent's Fang Ionian Boots of Lucidity Serylda's Grudge Edge of Night The Collector

Runes

Conqueror, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Last Stand. Secondary Domination: Sudden Impact, Treasure Hunter. Conqueror over Hail of Blades because the new ult interaction rewards staying in fights instead of one-shot kicks.

Play tip: Practice ward-jumping into a kick more aggressively. The 7-second flat W cooldown means you can W-ward, R-kick, and have your W up again before the second cooldown rotation. That mid-fight reset is the entire point of the rework.

Viego

Viego

~50% WR A Tier
Cyclosword price hike hurt, but his lethality path still wins

Why He Climbs This Patch

Viego absorbed a small indirect nerf: Voltaic Cyclosword went from 2900g to 3000g, which is his most-built second item. 100 gold is one full ranged-minion-wave-and-a-half on jungle income, so the timing is a hair later. The matchup math still favors him, and he is one of the only junglers whose ult lets him capitalize on the minion aggro change (you can possess an enemy mid-trade now that the wave does not redirect mid-action).

Best Mid Laners

Mid lane bifurcated this patch. The bursty pick side (Zed, Naafiri, Anivia) got nerfed. The control mage side (Galio, Malzahar, Ahri, Viktor) is unchanged or buffed. If you queue mid in 26.10, lean toward the control side of that split.

Galio

Galio

~50.0% WR S Tier (rising)
4.6% pick rate · the buff package that actually matters

Why He Climbs This Patch

Galio got the highest-quality buff package of the patch. Q mana cost dropped from 70-90 to 60-80 (more lane sustain), E damage went from 90-250 with 90% AP to 100-240 with 100% AP, and his ult now scales with 100% bonus magic resist. That last change rewires his build path: instead of going AP-only, you can stack MR items for survivability and have your ult hit harder because of it. Adaptive Helm and Abyssal Mask are now first-buy-tier on Galio mid.

Core Build (Tank-AP Hybrid)

Core: Abyssal Mask Mercury's Treads Riftmaker Adaptive Helm Zhonya's Hourglass

Runes

Aftershock, Font of Life, Bone Plating, Revitalize. Secondary Sorcery: Manaflow Band, Transcendence. Aftershock procs on E and R, both of which CC, and now ramps into a bigger ult thanks to the MR scaling.

Play tip: Build MR even against AD comps. Galio's R-AP scaling change makes MR a hybrid offensive stat on him specifically. The same 80 MR that keeps you alive vs a mage adds significant damage to your roam ult.

Malzahar

Malzahar

~51% WR S Tier
Lowest skill floor S-tier mid laner in 26.10

Why He Climbs This Patch

Malzahar is the cleanest answer to the Patch 26.10 mid-lane pool. His E-onto-an-assassin point-and-clicks Zed (who got nerfed) and Naafiri (who got nerfed) into uselessness. His ult deletes the bursty mages who used to threaten him. And the Lich Bane buff (45% AP ratio on Spellblade, 6% MS) gives him a real fifth-item option for chasing down low-HP carries that he did not have before.

Core Build

Core: Luden's Companion Sorcerer's Shoes Rabadon's Deathcap Zhonya's Hourglass Lich Bane

Runes

Arcane Comet, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. Secondary Inspiration: Cash Back, Cosmic Insight.

Play tip: Save R for the highest-priority target, not whoever flashed in first. Malzahar wins by removing one champion from the fight for 2.5 seconds, and that champion should always be the enemy carry that your team needs to delete first.

Ahri

Ahri

~50.5% WR S Tier
Lich Bane buff is a meaningful late-game DPS bump for her

Why She Climbs This Patch

Ahri is the cleanest beneficiary of the Lich Bane buff in mid lane. The Spellblade AP ratio went from 40% to 45%, and her short-cooldown Q means she procs Spellblade more often than any other AP mid. The 6% movespeed on Lich Bane also stacks with her E-into-R chase pattern, making her late-game pickoff threat real again.

Core Build

Core: Luden's Companion Sorcerer's Shoes Lich Bane Rabadon's Deathcap Shadowflame

Runes

Electrocute, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, Ultimate Hunter. Secondary Sorcery: Manaflow Band, Transcendence.

Viktor

Viktor

~50% WR S Tier
Best mid laner into a Galio-heavy meta

Why He Climbs This Patch

Viktor scales harder than anything else in the mid pool. He outranges Galio's combo, outwaveclears Malzahar, and his E shred passes through Zhonya's into the back line. In a meta where mid lane mostly fights at 20-25 minutes (because the bursty laners got nerfed), the longest-range scaling mage wins by default.

Best ADCs (Bot Lane)

ADC is the role with the most movement in 26.10. Ashe and Smolder both got hit, Zeri got real buffs, Jhin and Jinx stayed untouched. The Voltaic Cyclosword price hike specifically hurts the lethality-leaning ADCs (Varus, Senna lethality), and the new Doran's Bow buff (6 AD to 8 AD) is a small lane-trading boost across the board.

Jhin

Jhin

51.2% WR S Tier
Untouched, indirect winner from Cyclosword nerf

Why He Climbs This Patch

Jhin is the rare ADC who does not build Cyclosword as a core item, so the 100g price hike that hurts every other AD-Lethality carry leaves him alone. His 4th-shot mechanic also pairs with the Stormraider's Surge buff because most Jhin support combos (Lulu, Yuumi, Nami) run Stormraider's now, and the 4-second movespeed window (up from 3) covers his entire 4-shot reload cycle.

Core Build

Core: Essence Reaver Ionian Boots of Lucidity Infinity Edge The Collector Lord Dominik's Regards

Runes

Fleet Footwork, Triumph, Legend: Bloodline, Coup de Grace. Secondary Sorcery: Manaflow Band, Gathering Storm.

Play tip: The 4th-shot crit damage scales with crit chance, not crit damage. Rush Infinity Edge over The Collector even though Collector has higher base damage. You will execute more squishies with a 100% crit 4th shot than with a slightly bigger 4th shot.

Jinx

Jinx

50.7% WR S Tier
Untouched, free Ashe-nerf inheritance

Why She Climbs This Patch

Jinx did not change, but Ashe's Q total damage went from 110-140% AD to 110-130% AD, which weakens Ashe's primary trading tool. Jinx wins the mirror against Ashe more decisively now, and Ashe was the second-most-picked ADC last patch. Pure inheritance, but it is real LP.

Core Build

Core: Yun Tal Wildarrows Berserker's Greaves Infinity Edge Phantom Dancer Bloodthirster

Runes

Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grace. Secondary Inspiration: Magical Footwear, Cash Back.

Zeri

Zeri

Climbing A Tier (rising)
Q base damage and AS conversion both buffed in 26.10

Why She Climbs This Patch

Zeri got the cleanest ADC buff of the patch. Her Q base damage went from 21-33 to 22-38, and her excess attack speed conversion to AD jumped from 50% to 60%. That second number is the bigger deal: it means every point of attack speed past her cap converts into more bonus AD than before. Her late-game pure-DPS scaling is back to Patch 13 levels.

Core Build

Core: Essence Reaver Berserker's Greaves Rapid Firecannon Infinity Edge Phantom Dancer

Runes

Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grace. Secondary Resolve: Bone Plating, Revitalize.

Play tip: Stack attack speed past the cap on purpose. Pre-26.10 you stopped at 2.5 AS because the conversion was unfavorable. Post-buff, you actively want 3.0+ AS from items, runes, and her ult to maximize the 60% AD conversion. Build Rapid Firecannon over Yun Tal because the energized passive is more attack-speed efficient.

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune

~49.7% WR A Tier
Caster carry that does not care about Cyclosword nerf

Why She Climbs This Patch

Miss Fortune is the standout caster-style ADC in 26.10. Her E and R do not scale off attack speed, so the items that got hit (Cyclosword) and the items that got buffed (Lich Bane indirectly through Spellblade users) do not change her core build path. She still rushes Eclipse and Collector and snowballs through teamfights.

Best Supports

Support is the most stable role this patch. None of the major supports got direct nerfs, and the Stormraider's Surge buff helps every engage support (Leona, Nautilus, Pyke). The Zaz'Zak's Realmspike Patch 26.9 enchanter meta is still alive, just slightly less dominant.

Morgana

Morgana

49.3% WR S Tier
Highest win rate utility support in 26.10

Why She Climbs This Patch

Morgana is the cleanest answer to a wide-meta support pool. Her Q hard-counters Leona, Pyke, and Nautilus engages. Her W stacks well with the Zaz'Zak's Realmspike support item path. The minion aggro change is a soft buff to her too: enemy ADCs can no longer manipulate the lane to dodge her Q by aggroing your wave at a precise moment. The Q is now a cleaner trade tool.

Core Build

Core: World Atlas Ionian Boots of Lucidity Zaz'Zak's Realmspike Rylai's Crystal Scepter Zhonya's Hourglass

Runes

Arcane Comet, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. Secondary Inspiration: Biscuit Delivery, Cosmic Insight.

Milio

Milio

~51% WR S Tier
Best enchanter into a Lethal Tempo ADC meta

Why He Climbs This Patch

Milio's W gives bonus attack range, which scales harder when your ADC is running Lethal Tempo (Jinx, Jhin, Zeri). The post-26.10 Stormraider's Surge buff also synergizes with his E shield: ADCs running Stormraider's reach the burst threshold mid-fight and immediately get a Milio shield on top, doubling the survival window.

Leona

Leona

~50.5% WR S Tier
Stormraider's buff sticks her engages harder

Why She Climbs This Patch

Leona is the single biggest Stormraider's Surge buff winner. The keystone went from 40% melee MS for 3 seconds to 48% melee MS for 4 seconds, and Leona's whole pattern is "land E onto a low-HP target and chase them for 4 seconds." The math literally just expanded her threat radius.

Core Build

Core: World Atlas Ionian Boots of Lucidity Jak'Sho, The Protean Gargoyle Stoneplate

Runes

Stormraider's Surge, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. Yes, Stormraider's over Aftershock on Leona specifically in 26.10. The new movespeed numbers are too good to pass on for an engage support who lives off sticking power.

Nami

Nami

~50% WR S Tier
Cleanest mid-game enchanter, scales with Lich Bane allies

Why She Climbs This Patch

Nami's W bounce on an ally with Lich Bane (which is most mid laners now after the patch buff) creates the highest single-spell heal-plus-damage in the game. Her E onto an ADC also turns the new 6% Lich Bane movespeed into chase pressure for the whole lane. She is unchanged, but the items around her got better.

Champions to Avoid (or Bench)

The Bottom Tier of 26.10

  • Shyvana: The W shield went from 75-155 (+12% bonus HP) down to 60-140 (+12% bonus HP), and her HP-per-level dropped from 100 to 95. Two nerfs in one patch on the highest win rate jungler of 26.9 means she falls a full tier. Playable, no longer abusable.
  • Naafiri: Q minimum damage dropped from 30-90 to 30-80, Q maximum from 60-180 to 60-160, R damage from 150-350 to 150-300, R per-packmate damage from 15-35 to 15-30. Across-the-board damage shave on a champion whose entire identity is "I do damage." Drop her until the next mini-patch.
  • Zed: Passive max-HP damage from 6-10% to 5-10% and E AD ratio from 80% to 70%. The early shave is the bigger deal: Zed's level 3-6 burst pattern is now noticeably weaker.
  • Ashe: Q total damage from 110-140% AD to 110-130% AD. Lane trading nerf. She is still serviceable, just no longer the best ADC.
  • Smolder: Q damage from 65-125 to 60-120, W bonus AD scaling from 65% to 50%. Stacking is slower, late-game cap is lower. He fell out of the mainstream ADC tier.
  • Anivia: Base armor 21 to 19, armor growth 4.5 to 4.1. Small but real survivability nerf on a control mage whose entire weakness is being all-in'd. Avoid into assassin matchups.

Item Shifts That Matter

Lich Bane Buff Is a Stealth Mid-Lane Meta Mover

Spellblade AP ratio went from 40% to 45%, and the item now grants 6% movement speed instead of 4%. Both are real numbers for short-cooldown AP mages. Ahri, Akali, Ekko, and Diana all gain meaningfully more damage on every Spellblade auto, and the extra 2% MS is enough to chase down a flashed assassin. Expect to see Lich Bane built earlier in builds (third item instead of fifth) on mages with sub-5-second Q cooldowns.

Stormraider's Surge Buff Helps Anyone Who Engages

The keystone went from 40% melee / 30% ranged movespeed for 3 seconds to 48% melee / 36% ranged for 4 seconds. The bigger number is the 1 extra second of duration, not the percentage bump. That extra second covers the full follow-up window for most engage patterns: Leona E into Q into Zenith Blade range, Wukong E auto-attack-Q chase, Nautilus hook into Riptide. Engage champions who were already running Stormraider's just got noticeably stickier. Champions who were on the fence (Pyke, Sett, Nocturne) should switch to Stormraider's this patch.

Voltaic Cyclosword Cost Hike Hurts Lethality Carries

Cyclosword went from 2900g to 3000g. 100 gold is the equivalent of one and a half ranged minion waves, and it specifically delays the second-item spike on Naafiri, Qiyana, Akshan, and Senna-lethality builds. Combined with Naafiri's own nerfs and the Zed nerf, the lethality assassin class as a whole got pushed down half a tier. If you main an assassin, expect your two-item powerspike to land 30-45 seconds later than it did on 26.9.

Deathfire Touch Got a Light Shave

DPS at levels 1-18 went from 4-12 to 3-12. The level-18 number is unchanged, but the early-game tick was cut by 25% at level 1 (from 4 to 3 DPS). For DOT champions who lived off DFT (Brand, Singed, Cassiopeia), this is a small lane-trading nerf that does not affect their late game. Most DFT players will not feel the change after level 8.

System Change Spotlight: Minion Aggro Rework

The minion aggro change is the patch's most impactful invisible change. Before 26.10, you could manipulate your own wave by attacking the enemy champion while standing in your minion arc, which would temporarily redirect enemy minion aggro onto you and let your wave crash unimpeded. Skilled lane bullies (Renekton, Darius, Camille) used this every single trade to either push faster or freeze better than the opponent could.

Patch 26.10 ends that. Enemy champions attacking minions no longer enter the aggro priority list, and minions keep attacking the closest enemy minion unless an enemy champion directly attacks an allied champion. The practical effect is that wave states are now more predictable. You cannot force a fast push by aggro-manipulating, and you cannot trick the opponent's wave into freezing by trading at the right second.

Three champions feel this change the most. Renekton loses one of his best snowball tools (the 2-3 stack Q-trade-into-fast-push pattern). Camille's E-engage into a wave-state-reset is dead. Riven's Q-Q-E trade with a wave-redirect baked into it is now just a Q-Q-E trade. None of these champions got nerfed in the patch notes. They got nerfed by the system change, which is a much bigger functional nerf than any number adjustment.

On the other side, control mages (Galio, Malzahar, Anivia, Viktor) and roaming supports (Pyke, Bard) benefit. Lane states are more predictable, so you can pre-plan a roam window based on wave timing without worrying about a sudden wave-reset trick from the enemy. Expect mid lane and bot lane to feel slightly slower and more deliberate this patch.

FAQ

Who is the best champion in Patch 26.10?

There is no single dominant champion in Patch 26.10. The patch shaved the top of the meta with nerfs to Shyvana, Naafiri, Zed, Ashe, and Anivia, so the tier list compressed instead of producing a new outlier. The most reliable role-by-role climbers are Mordekaiser top (49.5% Emerald+ WR with a 4.9% pick rate), Master Yi jungle (50.5% WR, S tier), Galio mid post-buff (around 50% WR with full AP scaling on E and a magic-resist-scaling ult), Jhin ADC (51.2% WR), and Morgana support (49.3% WR, S tier). Comfort still beats tier list this patch.

What changed in Patch 26.10?

Patch 26.10 went live on May 13, 2026. The biggest changes are the Lee Sin modernization (W cooldown lowered to a flat 7 seconds, ult body keeps flying even if the target dies, E AD ratio nerfed from 100% to 90%), nerfs to Shyvana, Naafiri, Zed, Ashe, Anivia, Smolder, and Ambessa, buffs to Galio (full 100% AP scaling on E, R now scales with bonus MR), Wukong, Zeri, and Quinn jungle, item changes (Lich Bane: 45% AP ratio and 6% MS, Stormraider's Surge: 48/36% MS for 4 seconds, Voltaic Cyclosword up 100g, Gluttonous Greaves up 50g), Deathfire Touch shaved early, and a minion aggro system change that ends wave-manipulation tricks.

Is Lee Sin good after the Patch 26.10 rework?

Lee Sin is meaningfully more fluid in Patch 26.10 but not a free-LP pick. The W cooldown change from 12-6 to a flat 7 seconds is a major quality-of-life buff for ward-hopping and skirmishing, and the new ult interaction (the body keeps flying and knocking up even if the kick target dies mid-flight) prevents one of the most frustrating outplays in his old kit. Riot explicitly stated the goal is fluidity, not net power, so the W shield (70-250 to 60-240) and E AD ratio (100% to 90%) were both nerfed to balance the QoL gains. Expect Lee Sin to climb a tier or two as players relearn his timings, not to dominate immediately.

Should I main Taliyah in Patch 26.10?

Probably not as a blind-pick climber. Taliyah mid sits around 47-48% Emerald+ win rate in Patch 26.10 with a 1.4% pick rate, putting her in B tier. She is fine if you already have a deep pool on her and are using her for niche matchups (rock terrain plays into specific compositions), but the meta moved past her. Pure mid-lane climbers should look at post-buff Galio, Malzahar, Ahri, or Viktor instead.

When does Patch 26.11 come out?

Riot ships patches on a roughly two-week cadence. With 26.10 going live on May 13, 2026, Patch 26.11 is expected on May 27, 2026. Expect a follow-up balance pass on whichever 26.10 outliers shake out over the next two weeks, plus continued tuning on the minion aggro change and the Lee Sin rework as their downstream effects settle.

Where does this data come from?

Win rates and tier rankings are pulled from Emerald+ ranked Solo/Duo data on Patch 26.10 (live as of May 14, 2026) across MetaSrc, Mobalytics, and U.GG. Build paths are the highest-win-rate Patch 26.10 cores from the same datasets, validated against the patch notes for which items changed cost or stats this patch.

Are the same picks strong in low elo?

Mostly yes, with two adjustments. In Gold and below, Garen top climbs harder than Mordekaiser (lower-elo top laners struggle into Conqueror-Stridebreaker bruisers more than they do against AP). Master Yi jungle wins more in low elo than in Emerald because lower-elo teams are slower to peel for carries. Above Diamond, Lee Sin and Viego climb because the mechanical ceiling matters more than the raw tier.
